EUROPEAN TOP 100 MOST CREATIVE HAIKU AUTHORS Begun in 2011, the European Top 100 is a listing of the most active and creative European haiku poets chosen by Polish poet Krzysztof Kokot and posted on the Web.
Genjuan International Haibun Contest The Genjuan International Haibun Contest was established in 2012 by Nobuyuki Yuasa and Stephen Henry Gill, who had been running and judging its predecessor, the Kikakuza International Haibun Contest, since 2009. The organization of the Genjuan Contest and publication of winning pieces in anthologies was soon taken over by the Hailstone Haiku Circle in Kansai and continues through 2021.
Haiku Headlines Rhyming Haiku Contest, 1991 The one-off Haiku Headlines Rhyming Haiku Contest, 1991, was devised by David Priebe (Rengé), founder and editor of Haiku Headlines: A Monthly Newsletter of Haiku and Senryu.
Haiku Society of America Rengay Award in Honor of Garry Gay The Garry Gay Rengay Award was added to the list of annual contests sponsored by the Haiku Society of America in 2020. Named after the inventor of the form, the HSA contest is only the second international-level competition for rengay.
HAIKUNOW! INTERNATIONAL HAIKU CONTEST The HaikuNow! International Haiku Contest, administered in three categories: Traditional, Contemporary, and Innovative, ran for five years, from 2010 through 2014. Any poet could enter one poem in any or all of the categories each year, and there was no entry fee. Results were traditionally announced on April 17 as part of the celebration of first National, and later, International Haiku Poetry Day.
