Agnes Eva Savich (born Agnieszka Ewa Milewska, November 18, 1976, Kraków, Poland), university program coordinator, oboist, and haiku poet. Her work has appeared in major journals since 2004, placed in contests in the U.S.A., Canada, England, and Japan, and included in several anthologies. Her first book, The Watcher: Poems, was published in 2009, and a second collection, So Many Dandelions, in 2025. Among her other activities, she founded (2019) and still leads the Austin, Texas, Haiku Group; served as judge of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Contest (2020); edited the Haiku Society of America Southwest Region 2021 members’ anthology and has served as HSA Southwest Regional Coordinator since 2024. Savich prepared the Memorial Presentation for Haiku North America 2021 and has served on the HNA board of directors as Treasurer since 2023. In mid-2026 she was named Editor of Frogpond. Savich has resided in Poland, France, and Chicago, and currently lives in Austin, Texas.
