Alison Woolpert (born Mary Alison Woolpert, March 18, 1949, Indio, California, U.S.A.), American poet and haiku poet. A dōjin of the Yuki Teikei Haiku Society since 2022; she served as YTHS president (2010–2016), coordinator of the Kiyoshi and Kiyoko Tokutomi Memorial Haiku Contest (2004–2010) and organizer of the YTHS booth at the 2019 WakamatsuFest—150th anniversary celebration of the first Japanese colony in North America. She also served on the organizing committee for the 5th Haiku Pacific Rim Conference (2012) and coordinator of the Sister City Haiku Exchange between Santa Cruz, California, and Shingu, Japan (2014). Woolpert is also an active member of the Haiku Poets of Northern California and the Haiku Society of America and publishes her haiku, senryu, haibun, haiga, tanrenga, and tanka primarily in these organizations’ journals and anthologies. A haiku chapbook, Greetings From, was published in 2018. She resides in Santa Cruz, California.
