Aljoša Vuković (born May 29, 1970, Šibenik, Croatia [Yugoslavia]), works as a security guard and is the author of more than 20 books for children and other materials in textbooks, journals, and newspapers. He also publishes riddles and writes haiku and senryu in standard Croatian and Chakavian dialect. An award-winning author, Vuković’s short-form poetry appears in Croatian anthologies and contests and has been published internationally in Iris, Failed Haiku, Asahi Haikuist Network, and Mainichi Haiku in English. He has published four haiku chapbooks. In 2019, with Danijela Grbelja, he founded an annual haiku contest at the Juraj Šižgorić City Library in Šibenik, where he resides.
