András Ferenc Kovács (Hungarian style: Kovács András Ferenc; born July 17, 1959, Satu Mare, Romania; writes as KAF). Hungarian-language poet, translator, and academic. Kovács has been writing world-class lyric poetry since 1977 and haiku, tanka, and chōka since the 1980s. In 2007, he published his book of haiku, Időmadárkönyv (Time Bird Book), and in 2009 a volume of short-form Japanese poetry, Sötét tus, néma tinta (Dark Indian Ink, Silent Ink) He resides in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, Romania.
