Francine Chicoine

Francine Chicoine (born April 21, 1945, Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada), Canadian editor, publisher, educator, and haiku poet. She founded (2000) and directed les Éditions Tire-Veille (Collection Haïkusie) the Camp littéraire de Baie-Comeau (Baie-Comeau Literary Camp), which from 2004 to 2015 brought together haiku poets from around Canada; and the succeeding École national de haiku (National Haiku School). For 15 years Chicoine was responsible for the Voix Intérieures–Haïku series at Éditions David. She has contributed to more than 40 journals and multi-authored works and edited more than 60 anthologies and individual collections. She resides in Baie-Comeau, Québec.
