Gábor Terebess (Hungarian style: Terebess Gábor; born May 22, 1944, Szeged, Hungary), writer, translator, publisher, and ceramicist. Author of Haiku a poggyászban (2005; Haiku in the Luggage, 2006), Terebess has published his translations of haiku by Ryōkan (1999), Issa (2000), and Shiki (2005) as well as work by contemporary Western poets collected in his Modern nyugati haiku (2005; Modern Western Haiku). He is the founder and editor of Terebess Asia Online (TAO), a website featuring translations of more than 6,000 haiku in 15 languages. Resides in Budapest, Hungary.
