Greg Longenecker (born Gregory John Longenecker, May 13, 1947, Hollywood, California, U.S.A.) retired from pharmaceutical sales and currently a writer and poet. He has received honors for his haiku, including a Touchstone Award for Individual Poems and currently serves on the Touchstone Awards Selection Panel. He has also been active on committees for Haiku North America, Yuki Teikei Haiku Society, and the Southern California Haiku Study Group, where he led the group for one year and served for three years as editor of the members’ anthologies. Longenecker’s work was featured in A New Resonance 9: Emerging Voices in English-language Haiku (2015), and his book of haiku, somewhere inside yesterday, came out in 2017. He lives in Pasadena, California.
