Harry Gilli (born Harry Reed Gilli, March 22, 1951, DeLand, Florida, U.S.A.), retired from a 23-year career in the United States Air Force that took him on travels throughout the United States as well as to Japan, Africa, and Europe. Having enjoyed studying the relationships between nature and humanity for many years, together with his wife, Ferris Gilli, he began studying and writing haiku. Harry was an early participant in the Shiki Internet Kukai and published his haiku in leading journals, including Modern Haiku, Frogpond, Acorn, and Haiku Light in the late 1990s. A haiku of his won Second Prize in the Herb Barrett Award competition in 1999. The Gillis live in Marietta, Georgia.
