Ivanka Yankova (Bulgarian Cyrillic: Иванка Янкова; born December 11, 1936, Asenovgrad, Bulgaria), poet, writer, editor, and public figure. A graduate in philosophy from Sofia University, she worked in the field of culture, education, and cooperation with Russia and other Slavic countries. She was a founding member and chair of the Haiku Club Plovdiv for 15 years, a member of the Union of Independent Bulgarian Writers, the Bulgarian Haiku Union, the World Haiku Association, and the Society of Plovdiv Writers. Author of 14 books of poetry for children and adults, including Утре ще бъдем пак будни (2004; Tomorrow We’ll Be Awake Again), a collection of haiku. Yankova is a coauthor of the Haikupedia article “Haiku Club Plovdiv.” She lives in Asenovgrad.
