Jacquie Pearce (born Jacqueline Mary Pearce, January 27, 1962, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), haiku poet and author of twelve books for children, including novels, nonfiction, and a collection of short stories for young adults. She was coeditor with Angela Naccarato of The Jade Pond, the Vancouver Haiku Group anthology (2018), and editor of Last Train Home, an international anthology of train-themed haiku, tanka, and rengay (2021). She is currently researching and translating (with Japanese-speaking colleagues) materials on the history of Japanese haiku written in Canada with emphasis on haiku from Japanese-Canadian internment camps during World War II. She resides in Burnaby, near Vancouver, British Columbia.
