Jeannie Martin (born Jeanne Frances Martin, Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A.), social worker, health educator, and haiku poetry teacher and retreat leader. She is cofounder of the Broadmoor Haiku Collective, a member of the Boston Haiku Society, and one of the directors of the Haiku Circle in Northfield, Massachusetts. Martin has brought haiku to marginalized populations and programs in homeless shelters, low-income elder housing, nursing homes, memory loss units, and prisons. She is the author of nine haiku chapbooks and two books of haiku reflections: Clear Water: a haiku invitation into our luminous, sacred world (2013) and a touch of light (2019). She lives in Arlington, Mass.
