
Jerry Adesewo (born February 29, 1976, Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria), writer, journalist, and theater practitioner. He is the leader of the International Centre for Creative and Performing Arts in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, which is committed to cultivating, nurturing, and promoting creative endeavors—literary, visual, and performing arts—as a tool for social integration. Adesewo founded the Nigerian Haiku Society in 2004 and edited a book of haiku by secondary school students titled Womb of Peace. He is one of the earliest West African poets to have found success publishing in Japanese international publications: his haiku have appeared in the annual anthology World Haiku in 2007, 2009, and 2010 and the bimonthly journal Ginyu from 2008. Adesewo is based in Abuja.
