
Ljuba Alexandrova (born Ljuba Alexandrova Popova [Bulgarian Cyrillic: Люба Александрова Попова] October 13, 1942, Radomir, Bulgaria), Bulgarian poet and haiku poet. She studied chemistry at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and worked mainly in the field of applied ecology. She has published eleven books, including three haiku collections: Много думи, малко думи (Many Words, Few Words; 2012) and two volumes in the Shopski dialect of southwestern Bulgaria: Дръж се, хайку, шоп те гази 1 and 2 (Hold on, Haiku, a Shop Tramples on You, 1 and 2; 2014, 2020). Alexandrova is member of the Bulgarian Haiku Union and the Union of Independent Writers. She won awards in 5th and 7th Haiku Club Sofia national contests (2012 and 2014), and her haiku have been published in Bulgarian journals and newspapers as well as the bilingual anthologies Más-más csönd / Различна тишина (A Different Silence; 2012), Beyond Words / Отвъд думите (2018), and Настройване на цигулките / Tuning up the Violins (2022). She resides in Sofia, Bulgaria.
