Marek Kozubek (born March 20, 1970, Żywiec, Poland), office worker and haiku poet. His work has placed highly in international competitions: Sol Magazine Haiku Contest (2005), the Lyrical Passion Poetry Haiku Contest (2008, 2009), Suruga Baika Literary Festival (2008), The Mainichi Haiku Contest (2008, 2010, 2013), North Carolina State University Insect Museum’s Hexapod Haiku Challenge (2009), Folded Word-Lab haiku challenge (April 2015), Sharpening the Green Pencil Haiku Contest (2016), Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival (2016, 2019), Golden Triangle Haiku Contest (2017), University of Tehran Haiku Contest (2017), Haiku Masters-TV-NHK World (2018), The Society of Classical Poets Haiku Competition (2021), and the Basho Memorial English Haiku Contest (Iga, Japan, (2022). His haiku have been published in The Mainichi Daily News, Asahi Haikuist Network, Haikuniverse, Autumn Moon Haiku Journal, Sol Magazine, The World Haiku Review, Whirligig, Failed Haiku, and The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku. Kozubek blogs at Orston HAIKUje and resides in Żywiec, Poland, and Bangkok, Thailand.
