Michael Sheffield

Michael Sheffield (born Dennis Michael Sheffield, October 31, 1938, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, U.S.A.), American landscape designer, feng shui consultant, environmentalist, and poet. His haiku and haibun have been published in numerous journals and anthologies, and his deep connection with nature and the study and practice of Taoism, Buddhism, and Shamanism continue to influence his literary work. He has given presentations and readings for the Haiku Poets of Northern California, the Yuki Teikei Haiku Society, and other organizations. He is Resident Poet and Docent Naturalist at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, California, and a member of the Sonoma Poetry Salon, and he formerly served as poetry editor for Revision: A Journal of Consciousness and Transformation. Sheffield has resided in Kenwood, in California’s Sonoma Valley, since 1990.
