Neena Singh (born Neena Malik, November 8, 1956, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India), corporate banker (retired), social activist, and poet specializing in Japanese short forms. Her haikai, tanka and tanka prose, cherita, and longer poetry have appeared in print journals including AcornFrogpondModern HaikuPresence, and Ribbons, but especially online in publications such as the Asahi Haikuist NetworkBrass Bell, and Cold Moon Journal. A haiku of hers was shortlisted for a Touchstone Award for Individual Poems in 2021. She has published two books: Whispers of the Soul: The Journey Within (2016; photographs and poems), and One Breath Poetry: A Journal of Haiku, Senryu & Tanka (2020). She is on the editorial team of The Wise Owl  literary e-magazine as a guest editor and coedited (with Alan Summers) The Wise Owl Haiku Renditions, a record of a January 2023 reading on Zoom. She also serves on the kukai team of Triveni Haikai India and writes a column in Rhyvers literary magazine. Singh runs a nonprofit to benefit underprivileged children in her hometown of Chandigarh, India.
