Patti Niehoff (born Patricia Mary Ann Williams, March 5, 1956, Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.A.), a student of literature, math, and computer science, she has been writing and teaching haikai for more than 40 years. Her work has been published in print journals including Dragonfly, Inkstone, Wind Chimes, Frogpond, Modern Haiku, Brussels Sprout, and Presence; featured online on Haikuniverse and tinywords; and anthologized in Bruce Ross’s Haiku Moment (1993) and Joshua Gage’s The Ohio Haiku Anthology (2020) as well as several Haiku Society of America members’ anthologies. Niehoff is the founder and leader of the Peregrine Haiku Society in Cincinnati. She has participated in the Haiku North America conferences in 2017, 2019, and 2021 and serves as chair of the organizing committee for the 2023 HNA conference in Cincinnati, where she resides.
