Paul Hickey (born June 17, 1969, Chichester, West Sussex, U.K.), retired team manager for a bank. He became a member of the British Haiku Society in 2011, joined the BHS Committee as a member without portfolio in 2015, and since 2019 has served as the society’s treasurer and general secretary. Hickey’s works have appeared in the BHS essay collection The Wind that Blows Through Us …: Exploring the World of Haiku and Well-being (2015); David Bingham and Iliyana Stoyanova, Where Silence Becomes Song: International Haiku Conference Anthology (St Albans, U.K.: 2019); various BHS members’ anthologies; and U.K.-based journals including Blithe Spirit, Hedgerow, and Time Haiku. In 2019 he published his collection Looking Up—Haiku & Paintings. Hickey resides in Andover, Hampshire, U.K.
