Seren Fargo (born Roberta Jean Fargo, October 6, 1962, Perth Amboy, New Jersey, U.S.A.), former wildlife biologist, published research scientist, and massage therapist; a photographer and picture framer, jewelry artist, poet, and editor. Her haiku, tanka, haibun, and rengay have received commendations or prizes in international contests, including the Francine Porad Award (2010, 2011, 2013), the Vladimir Devidé Haiku Award (2013, 2014, 2015, 2018), the Polish International Haiku Competition (2013), the Irish Haiku Society International Haiku Competition (2019 and 2021), the Martin Lucas Haiku Award (2020), among others; and haiku of hers were twice (2014, 2017) shortlisted for Touchstone Awards for Individual Poems. Fargo founded and coordinated the Bellingham Haiku Group since 2009 (currently on hiatus), served as Washington Regional Coordinator for the Haiku Society of America (2019–2021), and is coeditor of Tandem: The Rengay Journal (since 2020). She resides in Whatcom County, Washington, U.S.A.
