Self-portrait
Shawn Blair (born 1968, Massachusetts, U.S.A.). American poet and designer of high-rise construction methods and systems. Since 2022 he has been publishing haiku, senryu, tanka, and kyōka in journals including Upstate Dim Sum, The Heron’s Nest, Modern Haiku, Wales Haiku Journal, Frogpond, Autumn Moon, Akitsu Quarterly, tsuri-dōrō, Failed Haiku, and Prune Juice. He has won honors in the Golden Haiku Contest, Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Contest, and the Kaji Aso Studio International Haiku Contest as well as a best-of-volume Haiku Moment Award from Autumn Moon Haiku Journal. Blair is a member of the Haiku Society of America and, since 2024, the Route 9 Haiku Group. He resides in Cohoes, New York.
