Ulla Conrad

Ulla Conrad (born December 6, 1973, Niebüll, Germany),  graphic designer, writer, poet, illustrator, mindfulness instructor, Japanese tea-ceremony practitioner. She is the chairwoman of Haikugruppen under the Danish Writers Association (DFF). Her work has been included in the haiku anthologies Blade i vinden (Leaves in the Wind, 2011 ) and Danish Haiku Today, 2012 and 2019. In 2012, she published De grønne skyggers land (The Land of the Green Shadows: Sketches, Poems, and Haiku from Japan) from her trips to a Japanese Zen monastery and in 2019 Bladværk—haiku-inspirerede årstidsord (Foliage: Haiku-inspired Seasonal Words) with 1100 haiku and tanka. Gendarmstien, a book of prose, haiku, and photos from her 84-km hike along the Danish-German border, was published in 2020. Conrad resides in Hørsholm, Denmark.
