William Scott Galasso (born September 18, 1952, Queens, New York, U.S.A.), American editor, publisher, and haiku poet. Author of 17 books, of which 12 are of haiku, senryu, haibun, and tanka. Galasso is a long-time member of the Haiku Society of America, the Tanka Society of America, the British Haiku Society, Haiku Canada, and several California haiku organizations. He participated in the 2017 Haiku North America Conference in Santa Fe, N.M. and was a featured reader at the 2019 Seabeck Haiku Getaway. In June 2021 he was the poet-of-the-month for Cornell University Mann Library’s Daily Haiku online feature. Officially retired since 2015, Galasso works as a full-time writer and editor for the California Quarterly Journal. His latest book of haikai, Saffron Skies, was published in November 2022. He resides in Laguna Woods, California.
