The Maya Lyubenova International Haiku Contest is organized by the Shoshin Haiku Circle, a private Facebook group with members from Bulgaria and internationally. The contest, first held in 2020, is dedicated to Maya Lyubenova, a prominent Bulgarian haiku poet and haiga artist who passed away in 2016.
