Adrian Bouter (born Adriaan Hendrik Bouter in the 1960s, Gouda, the Netherlands) has worked in various jobs, most recently as a flex worker. Began writing songs and poetry, and since about 2010 has focused on haikai. Publishes in English, Dutch, and German in some forty journals and websites. Has had work selected for three Red Moon anthologies and four of the Gurga/Metz annual anthologies and been nominated three times for Touchstone awards. In 2024 published a full-length collection, Dew of Light. Named among European Top 100 most creative haiku authors for 2013–2025. Resides near Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
