Stephen Bailey (born Stephen Lawrence Bailey, September 17, 1949, Paparoa, New Zealand; used haigō Hansha Teki until 2023), retired information technologist. Publishing haikai since 2012 in online journals. Since 2017, composing “parallels,” paralleled haiku, many published in For the Time Being (2023). Anthologized in Bruce Ross’s, A Vast Sky (2015); Kala Ramesh’s, Naad Anunaad (2016); Lee Gurga and Scott Metz’s Haiku 2016 and Haiku 2021; and Jim Kacian and Julie Warther’s A New Resonance 11 (2019) among others. Cofounder of The Living Haiku Anthology, Living Senryu Anthology, and Under the Bashō haiku journal. Resides in Ōtaki, New Zealand.
