Bill Cooper (born William Edwin Cooper, March 20, 1951 Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.), American academic. Has published ten books of haikai; laureate in the Touchstone, Merit Book, David Cobb, and Robert Spiess competitions and the Ban’ya Natsuishi Prize. Prizewinner in the competitions of the Irish Haiku Society, the San Francisco International Senryu, the Tokutomi Haiku Contest, and the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Invitational. Served on the editorial board of Juxtapositions and as judge of the HSA Merit Book Awards and Brady Senryu Awards. Featured poet at Haiku Poets of Northern California and Haiku North America conferences. Lives in Naples, Florida.
