Ágnes Gergely (Hungarian style: Gergely Ágnes; born Ágnes Guttmann, October 5, 1933, Endrőd, Hungary) poet, writer, essayist, editor, translator, and educator. Since her first collection of poetry, Ajtófélfámon jel vagy (Sign On My Door Jamb) went into print in 1963, she has published 19 volumes. Her rich poetic oeuvre spans several genres, including haiku. A number of her poems have been translated into English. She resides in Budapest.

András Ferenc Kovács (Hungarian style: Kovács András Ferenc; born July 17, 1959, Satu Mare, Romania; writes as KAF). Hungarian-language poet, translator, and academic. Kovács has been writing world-class lyric poetry since 1977 and haiku, tanka, and chōka since the 1980s. In 2007, he published his book of haiku, Időmadárkönyv (Time Bird Book), and in 2009 a volume of short-form Japanese poetry, Sötét tus, néma tinta (Dark Indian Ink, Silent Ink) He resides in Târgu Mureș, Transylvania, Romania.

Ferenc Bakos (Hungarian style: Bakos Ferenc; born January 28, 1946), electrical engineer, translator, and haiku poet. He has published over 300 haiku and translated from English into Hungarian all major Japanese poets. In 2009, he won an “Honorable” award in the English section of the Ito En Tea Company’s “New Haiku” competition. In 2015 he published Desert Wind, a volume of haiku and haibun in English and Hungarian. In the same year he translated, with Judit Vihar, Katō Kōko's famous modern Japanese haiku collection, Hidden Pond. He resides in Siófok, Hungary.

Gábor Terebess (Hungarian style: Terebess Gábor; born May 22, 1944, Szeged, Hungary), writer, translator, publisher, and ceramicist. Author of Haiku a poggyászban (2005; Haiku in the Luggage, 2006), Terebess has published his translations of haiku by Ryōkan (1999), Issa (2000), and Shiki (2005) as well as work by contemporary Western poets collected in his Modern nyugati haiku (2005; Modern Western Haiku). He is the founder and editor of Terebess Asia Online (TAO), a website featuring translations of more than 6,000 haiku in 15 languages. Resides in Budapest, Hungary.

Judit Katalin Hollós (born March 4, 1982, Budapest, Hungary), playwright, essayist, translator, journalist, and haiku poet. Graduated in playwriting and screenwriting; currently studying classical Tibetan language and literature. Her haikai, tanka, and other writings in English, Swedish, and Hungarian have been featured in international publications since 2014. Author of two chapbook collections. Listed among The European Top 100 most creative haiku authors for 2014, 2015, 2016, and nominated for The Touchstone Award for Individual Poems. Resides in Budapest.
