Sonia Maria Bizzarro
Sonia Maria Bizzarro (born May 19, 1977, Borgomanero, Novara, Piedmont, Italy), Italian poet; works as an administrative assistant. She discovered haiku thanks to the 1999 book Neve (Snow) by Fermine Maxence. Won 3rd Prize at the Premio Letterario Europeo Città di Montieri in 2011 and 3rd Prize and 2nd Prize, respectively, in the 2012 and 2013 Cascina Macondo International Haiku Contest. Cowrote haiku collections with Oscar Luparia: Cammino piano and Un tintinnio per strada: Cinquanta haiku. Bizzarro’s latest collection is Dondola il fūrin: 65 haiku. Resides in Mirano, Veneto, Italy.
