Charles Rossiter
Charles Rossiter (born Charles M. Rossiter, Jr., December 11, 1942, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A.), American university professor, poet and spoken word artist, poetry therapist, haiku poet, critic, commentator, and broadcaster. Began writing haiku in the 1970s. Coedited the Third Coast Haiku Anthology; served as guest editor of Modern Haiku. Received an NEA Fellowship, a Red Wheelbarrow Prize, and five Pushcart Prize nominations. Performed at the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival; The Green Mill Lounge; the Nuyorican Cafe; and the Chicago Blues Festival. Hosts the weekly podcast series Poetry Spoken Here. Lives in Bennington, Vermont.
