Dyana Basist (born Diane Susan Basist, April 29, 1956, Dayton, Ohio), massage therapist, author, gardener, poet, and haiku poet. Haiku, senryu, tan-renga, and haibun of hers have appeared in major American and British print and online journals and selected for three Red Moon anthologies as well as HSA and YTHS members’ anthologies. Participated in “From Branch to Branch,” winner of the HSA Renku Grand Prize Award for 2018. Published Coyote Wind, a book of essays, poetry, and haiku in 2019. Resides in Santa Cruz, California.
