Elizabeth Searle Lamb
Elizabeth Searle Lamb (born Elizabeth Louise Searle, January 22, 1917, Topeka, Kansas, U.S.A.; died February 16, 2005, Santa Fe, New Mexico), American writer, poet, haiku poet, critic and historian, and editor. Began publishing haiku in 1963 and compiled seven collections of haiku as well as reviews, historical articles, and journal columns. Charter member of the Haiku Society of America; served as HSA President in 1971; edited Frogpond 1984–1990 and 1994. Instrumental in establishing the American Haiku Archive and was its first honorary curator. Last resided in Santa Fe, N.M.
