Félix Arce
Félix Arce (full name Félix Arce Araiz, born February 14, 1971, Bilbao, Spain; haigō: Momiji), librarian, poet, and haiga artist. His honors include a best haiku sequence award in the 2007 International Haiku Competition of Castille–La Mancha University and the 1st International Samurai Hasekura Prize of the Haiku International Association celebrating 400 years of Japanese–European relations. After returning from a period of residence in Nagasaki, Japan, Arce, together with Vicente Haya, Mercedes Pérez, and Manuel Díez Orzas, cofounded the online Escuela de Haiku Makoto (Makoto School of Haiku). Arce’s most recent book of haiku is Recogido en el agua (Collected in the Water). He divides his time between Soria and Noja (Cantabria), Spain.
