Helge Krarup
Helge Krarup (born November 12, 1949, Odense, Denmark), retired upper secondary school teacher, writer, and translator. In 1983 he made his debut with a collection of poetry and a book about the poet Peter Laugesen. He has since written drama, books on art, cinema, and other themes. Krarup is chairman of the Dansk-Svensk Forfatterselskab (Danish-Swedish Writers Association), member of the Haiku Group of the Danish Authors’ Society, and moderator of haiku readings at the Japanese Sakura Festival in Copenhagen. Madumsuiten (Madum Suite), his book of haiku with paintings by Erik Styrbjørn Pedersen, was published in 2016. He resides in Copenhagen.
