Johnnie Johnson Hafernik
Johnnie Johnson Hafernik (born Johnnie Elaine Johnson, January 3, 1948, Luling, Texas, U.S.A.), professor emeritus of applied linguistics, author, editor, and poet. Editor of Geppo since 2019. Published in numerous journals and compendia, including YTHS members’ anthologies and twice in The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku. Received honorable mention in the YTHS Tokutomi Haiku Contest. Collaborative haiga with artist Dorothy M. Messerschmitt won honors in the Jane Reichhold Memorial Haiga Competition for three years running. Resides in San Francisco, California.
