Lorraine A Padden (born June 1, 1962, Berkeley, California, U.S.A.), retired professional dancer, zen practitioner; non-profit advisor, National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, and poet. Haiku and related short-form poetry published in leading haiku journals. Won First Place in the Marlene Mountain Memorial Haiku Contest (2022) and was recognized in competitions and awards sponsored by various haiku organizations and Tricycle Magazine. Included in A New Resonance 13 (2023). Her book, Upwelling, was short-listed for the Touchstone Distinguished Book Award (2022). A senryu received a Touchstone Award for Individual Poems (2022). Resides in San Diego, California.
