Peter Newton (born Peter Rice Newton, May 7, 1965, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.), American stained glass artist and poet, writer, and editor. Newton has published four books of haiku and haibun and is an editor of tinywords, an international online journal of haiku and other small poems. In addition he is a long-time staff member of the Bread Loaf School of English and the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference in Ripton, Vermont. He resides in Winchendon, Massachusetts.
