Barbara Sabol (born June 8, 1954, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.), retired speech therapist and currently an editor, educator, and lyric and haiku poet. Her first haiku was published in 2014, and a haiku collection, Connections: Core & All was published as a dual book with tanka by Larry Smith in 2022. Her work was selected for Haiku 2022: 100 notable ku from 2021 and Contemporary Haibun 17 (2022). She won second place in the 2021 Haiku Society of America haibun competition. She co-presented the Memorial Reading at the Haiku North America conference in 2023. Resides in Akron, Ohio.
