Neal Whitman
Neal Whitman (born March 27, 1948, Boston, Massachusetts), Professor Emeritus, University of Utah School of Medicine, where he pioneered the addition of literary, performing, and visual arts in medical education. Founding editor and current haiku editor for Pulse: Voices from the Heart of Medicine. Author of two haiku books, and coeditor of the 2021 and 2022 YTHS members’ anthologies. Has enjoyed many successes in North American and overseas haiku, senryu, and haibun contests. Resides in Pacific Grove, California.
