J. Zimmerman. British-American physicist, essayist, reviewer, and haiku and tanka poet. In 2013 she invented the “Buson 100” haiku challenge to write 10 haiku a day for 100 days. The same year she was selected as an emerging haiku poet for A New Resonance 8 (2013). Published two major articles on gender of published and prizewinning poets. Active in the Yuki Teikei Haiku Society, won recognition in several Kiyoshi and Kiyoko Tokutomi Haiku Contests, and served as contest coordinator in 2012–2014. Now a dōjin of the society. Two of her poems have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
