Rafał Zabratyński (born September 29, 1974, Rzeszów, Poland; haigō RaV), English teacher and form tutor, haiku poet, and editor. He has been writing haiku and other Japanese-style poetry since 2000, and his works have been published in numerous major international print and online haiku journals. He has won top prizes in, among others, the Kusamakura, Haiku International Association, and Mainichi haiku competitions and was laureate of the third edition of the Ewa Tomaszewska Poetry Award for the best Polish haiku of the year 2020. He served as administrator of the first Polish online educational haiku forum and was cofounder and organizer of the first five editions of the Polish International Haiku Competition. His other interests include cosmology, science fiction, traveling, and mountain trekking. He resides in Rzeszów, Poland.
